Fiddlin' Whale Tours is a friendly, well-established family business located in Pleasant Bay (just 30 minutes from Cape North village), offering an unparalleled opportunity to discover the intriguing marine life flourishing in the waters off northern Cape Breton.
There are four daily tours throughout the summer season (June through October)... 10am, 12noon, 2pm and 4pm. Sunrise, sunset and private tours are available by request.
North Highlands Community Museum The North Highlands Community Museum contains interpretive exhibits illustrating the way of life experienced by the early settlers of northern Cape Breton. Exhibits include gypsum quarry, stores, chuch histories, shipwrecks, furnishings, school and transportation. The museum also has an extensive genealogy centre and archives.
Skyline Trail The spectacular 7km (4.3 miles) Skyline Trail leads you to Headland Cliff, where you can often see whales off the rugged coast in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Along the trail keep an eye open for moose, bear as well as a host of land and sea birds. The trail takes approximately 3 to 4 hours to complete.
Beulach Ban Falls The Beulach Ban Falls is the reward that awaits you after a 5km hike through a refreshing commune with nature. From the falls you may continue to explore Aspy Valley ... 2-3hr return.
Golf Course Highlands Links: the challenging 18-hole, par 72, 6592 yd course is located in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park at Ingonish. Designed by Stanley Thompson in 1938, it was ranked #5 in Canada (Score Golf, July 2004).
